Carbon Accounting for Hotels Restaurants and Hospitality
Total . Life . Cycle
Valuing nature, Growing your Business.
Carbon . Biodiversity . Plastics
Sustainability reporting is increasingly a legal requirement across the UK, Europe, and internationally. Total Life Cycle ensures your hotel, restaurant or hospitality venue achieves compliance and avoids potential greenwashing fines, while delivering better environmental outcomes, improving your brand’s reputation, and boosting profits.
You can incorporate one or more of the following elements into your sustainability assessment according to your requirements:

Greenhouse Gases
Carbon and other GHG emissions (Scope 1-2-3) accounting across your value and supply chain. Activity-based accounting via line by line procurement.

Biodiversity
Assessment of your land, freshwater and marine impacts on local ecosystems. Based on site visits, professional assessment and satellite imaging.

Plastics
Plastic analysis of your procurement and supply chain. Plastic weights, types and count. Financial modelling of plastic harm impacts.

Social Impact
Assessment of your company’s social impacts to provide a ‘value for money’ financial modelling of benefits and outcomes.
Your Next Step
Total Life Cycle accounting services can be adapted to suit your venue and budget needs.

Hotels
Assessing your greenhouse gas and biodiversity impacts in readiness for EU climate reporting regulations is just one of the reasons to get a full assessment across your Scope 1-2-3 emissions. A data-driven verification of your impacts provides the roadmap for your sustainability journey.

Restaurants
Foods are amongst the largest hospitality emission sources and restaurants can play a key role in addressing planet-harming impacts related to biodiversity and climate. We can show you how a small surcharge on your most impactful foods can be used to massively reduce your emissions.

Events & MICE
We can analyse and report on your event, conference or meeting to provide a comprehensive carbon and biodiversity impact assessment and calculate the financial impact to nature for your own sustainability reporting and offsetting/insetting activity.

Destination Development
National and regional tourism impact assessments and financial modelling so that you know how much each visitor impacts your local environment and what you need to return back to nature.

Sustainable Markets Initiative
Your Greenhouse Gas and Biodiversity tool simplifies the measurement and makes the process user-friendly for the hotels to measure, improve and communicate their impact with diverse segments of stakeholders, including their team, which will need a simple language for communicating.
It is so clear that Scope 3 contributes a significant portion of the businesses’ environmental impact and GHG emissions, and that’s the part most companies push under the rug. You aced this part perfectly!
The tool also complements the sustainability services we provide to the hotels (Designing Sustainability practices: Strategies, operations, and facilities).

Frequently Asked Questions
From basic assessments and advice, to in-depth analysis of your carbon and biodiversity impacts for legal sustainability reporting compliance. Feel free to contact us if you need more information.
How long does a greenhouse gas and biodiversity report take?
Typically a basic assessment can be completed within 2-4 weeks, while a comprehensive audit may take between 4-8 weeks depending on the size, complexity and preparedness of your organisation and its data.
What information will you need from us?
We will acquire an understanding of your objectives as a company, then scope the data requirements to ensure an effective analysis of your operations and its climate and biodiversity impacts aligned to your sustainability vision.
There are desk-top elements that we can get started on straight away, such as utility bill data, procurement data, satellite data and local research on infrastructure and resources. But, to really understand your business and locality, site visits by one of our local agents will be required.
Can I see an example report?
Yes you can. We believe in absolute transparency in what you will receive. Far too many sustainability companies and consultants deliver poorly evidenced and subjective reports. We are science-based and data driven in our approach, so that you can be completely confident that when we make a statement or recommendation it is robust to scrutiny and data backed.
Are your reports sufficient for EU CSRD compliance?
Yes, our comprehensive and enterprise packages are designed to meet all requirements for the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) compliance.
How do I get started?
Submit the enquiry form online and we will be in touch straightaway to discuss which package suits your requirements. We then book your consultant to map out your needs and objectives and start sending you the data requirement and operational checklists.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we offer flexible payment options and can structure payment plans to suit your business needs. Contact us to discuss available options.
